Hi DC folks,
I think most of you on the list already know about the Poplar Spring Open House this Sunday, October 12, beginning 1pm. I am sending this as a reminder, and also in case anybody hasn't already heard about it. It's going to be stunning weather -- a wonderful day to head out of town and hang out with the animals, and listen to a live jazz band. And I have the honor of being the keynote speaker, on at 2pm.
Poplar Spring will be selling and I will be signing copies of Thanking the Monkey -- perhaps this is the perfect time to do start your Christmas shopping! All proceeds, of course, will go to the Sanctuary.
The event itself is free.

PS -- I haven't yet organized myself a ride out there. If you are heading out from the city, and could give me a ride, that would be wonderful. I am staying at the King George near Union Station and will be on email from about 9-11am Sunday morning.
