The following invitation to attend a horce racing protest this coming Saturday comes activist Nicole Matthews. Transport and food are provided.
-------------------------------

We have an opportunity to make changes for horses used for racing that will change their lives. We are truly at a turning point as we’ve seen some dramatic changes already being made after the very public death of Eight Belles at the Kentucky Derby earlier this year. But there are more reforms still needed. Your participation will go a long way toward helping at this critical time.

The protest will take place at the Santa Anita Park and Racetrack next Saturday, October 25 at 9:00 AM. at the entrance by the intersection of Huntington and Holly Ave in Arcadia.

Our goal is to have at least 100 protestors. We are providing buses to help get people there cheaply and quickly and we’ll offer delicious breakfast sandwiches on the bus. We will be meeting for the bus at the PETA LA office at 2898 Rowena Ave in Silver Lake The bus will begin loading at 8:00 AM and depart at 8:15 AM sharp. There is some parking in the lot of the PETA office and more on the street though you may have to walk a couple of blocks. Please RSVP for a seat on the bus.

If you would like to drive, parking is available at the nearby Westfield Shoppingtown Mall or the Arcadia Community Center at 240 West Huntington Dr. Our demonstration is at the intersection of Huntington and Holly Ave. so you may have to walk a bit.

Please RSVP and direct questions to Nicole at NicoleM@peta.org or call her at 269-908-0050.

Thank you!
