The following comes from wonderful activist Jane-Velez-Mitchell, who many of us know from activism circles, and others know from news shows she has hosted -- most recently and frequently, Nancy Grace. She has opened her home tomorrow night, Friday November 9, for another Los Angeles meeting for those who wish to get involved in helping with the upcoming California ballot initiative, but who haven't yet attended a meeting. She lives in Marina Del Ray, so I look forward to seeing all the Westside animal advocates there!

I am inviting you over to the beach on Friday, November 9th from 7p.m. - 10p.m. and have some fabulous vegan food and drinks, mingle with fellow animal lovers and join in a fun gathering with a very important purpose. Wayne Pacelle, President of the Humane Society of the U.S. will be the featured guest, along with Gene Baur, President of Farm Sanctuary and Michael Markarian, The Humane Society's Executive Vice-President.
Californians for Humane Farms has launched the most important ballot initiative project ever to get an initiative on the 2008 ballot to ban pig gestation crates, veal crates and battery cages in California. This would radically improve the lives of tens of millions of pigs and calves and hens!!!!! Please come to sign up. I went out signature gathering with Jane (Garrison) and Bettina and we had such fun. You can form groups to gather signatures together and make it social. So come over... and bring a friend or two who loves animals!! Together we can make this happen!!!
BE THERE: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH, 7-10 P.M. @ 20 IRONSIDES STREET #11, MARINA DEL REY 90292 (at beach- 9 blocks South of Washington Blvd).
