The Animal Acres gala is coming up a week from Saturday, on August 25. Wonderful actorvist Jorja Fox from CSI is hosting. While this evening is also a gala for the benefit of farm animals, it is hardly a carbon copy of the September 8 Farm Sanctuary gala -- it will have its own unique style. Instead of a swanky hotel ballroom, this gala is at the Animal Acres Sanctuary, so you can visit with the animals you are benefiting! And while the on line invitation tells us, "The Gala is a Black-tie Affair -- Suggested Attire: Tuxedos or Suits and Gowns or Dresses" it also suggests "Please wear what you are most comfortable in" and "The dinner will be served in the sanctuary rose garden – low heels or flat dress shoes are recommended due to the grass." Sounds like folks should dress up or down but get ready to party.

It includes a nice list of celeb supporters and committee members, some of whom will be at the gala -- though we aren't sure which ones just yet. But Jorja and Jorja -- the CSI star and the lovely pig named after her will definitely will be there to greet you.
Animal Acres is a lovely little sanctuary not far from Los Angeles -- always a great place to visit and hang out with the animals, gala or no gala.

Animal Acres Gala Tickets – Last Call!
Join Gala Chairperson Jorja Fox and other celebrities and special friends for an enchanting evening for farm animals.
It’s last call to purchase tickets for the Animal Acres Gala on August 25th. The Gala will be held at the sanctuary’s beautiful hacienda-style ranch, just 40 minutes from Hollywood.
The festivities begin with a “Cowtail Party” where celebrity hosts, award recipients, and Gala guests meet and mingle with the sanctuary “guests of honor” – the sanctuary cows, pigs, turkeys, chickens, and other animals! Guests will then gather for a gourmet vegan dinner in the sanctuary rose garden, followed by an awards ceremony and entertainment.
This is THE event for people who want to help create and build a Los Angeles farm animal sanctuary. Your support will help Animal Acres raise the funding it needs to provide feed, housing, and veterinary care for the sanctuary animals for the coming year.
