I had meant to send this to my Santa Barbara list but am shocked to learn, after all these years, that I actually don't have a separate Santa Barbara list! So I am sending to all my California folks -- if you don't live anywhere near Santa Barbara you can discard it or preferably forward it to somebody who does.

I wanted to make sure my animal advocacy friends in the Santa Barbara area all know Dr Jean Greek, a board certified veterinarian specializing in dermatology and allergies. Jean is an animal advocate, who has co-authored classic books such as "Sacred Cows and Golden Geese: The human cost of experiments on animals." She lives with countless rescues of many species. It is so nice to deal with a vet who is also an advocate for animals; you can be sure that her heart is in her healing profession and you never need worry that her choices and recommendations will be guided by anything other than her knowledge as to what will be best for your companion.
Jean has just moved to a new office on State Street -- its got that fresh spanking brand new smell yet it is warm and cozy. Her competent and friendly staff will make you feel right at home. Paula pitbull practically bounds out of the car park and towards the office door whenever we have to go see Auntie Jean. You should definitely go see her if your fur kids have any skin or allergy issues. You can learn more about Dr Jean Greek and her new clinic at
