Hey there Californians:
If you have never been to Animal Acres, this Saturday is the perfect time to come. The annual country hoe down is on! There are tours at noon, speeches from 1:30-3:30, and then there's a fabulous party 3:30-5pm -- with Sierra Nevada and Gardein as sponsors, Yeehaw!
I am speaking, and will be sharing delightful cartoons from Thanking the Monkey as well as fun and useful advocacy tips. The lovely and charismatic founder of Animal Acres (original co-founder of Farm Sanctuary) Lorri Houston is also speaking, and so are "Sexy Vegan" chef Brian Patton, and the founder of Vegan Toastmasters Dave Rutan.
You are guaranteed a lovely day. Come with family and friends, or come alone and introduce yourself to me so we can pet some pigs together.
