Tonight's, October 9, episode of Boston Legal, ABC 10pm/9 central, is called "The Chicken and The Leg." The promo tells us, "Denny bets a huge sum of money against Carl Sack's winning a cockfighting case."
On any other show we would not know what to expect, but Boston Legal, like all David Kelley shows, has a superb history of handling animal protection issues beautifully, so we can be hopeful that viewers going to learn about the cruel world of cockfighting. Check it out and please send comments at

(The Boston Legal site also has message boards for those who have a knack for that sort of thing -- chatty casual messages are generally best.)
Some of the Boston Legal team have explicitly let us know how important it is that ABC hears from us regarding content -- how much we love their animal friendly content!
Note to those who generally don't watch the show:
Denny Crane, played by William Shatner, is likely to make all sorts of distasteful comments. That is his character -- he makes absurd and disgusting remarks and offends everybody. So please don't think the producers are speaking against the animals if Denny does.
My thanks to Mark Williams, Teresa D'Amico and Larry Miller for being quick to let us know about tonight's Boston Legal episode.
Yours and the animals',
Karen Dawn
