This morning, October 7, the CBS show Sunday Morning featured the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, focusing on the recent arrival of Dulary and her new friendship with the sanctuary's founding resident, Tarra.

It was a beautiful piece. Unfortunately the video does not seem to be available yet on line -- I will let you know when that changes -- but you can read the text and see a photo at

Most importantly, please let CBS know how much we, the viewers, appreciate these animal friendly segments. Positive feedback will encourage more of them. You can join the discussion on at the bottom of the page linked above, or send a quick note of thanks to sundays@cbsnews.com

My thanks to Batya Bauman and Linda Gavitt for making sure we knew about the piece.

Yours and the animals',
Karen Dawn
